Our new project
Indoor bouldering and play area for young and old
The old butcher's shop of the meat cooperative in Matt is to become a indoor bouldering and play area for young and old.
A unique piece!
The Sernftal with its mountain railways in Elm and Matt is well-known and established as a tourist destination.
In our 4 years of existence as a hostel, we have recognized the misery through conversations with our guests and other tourism professionals:
In Glarus South there is no sporting alternative for bad weather!
After purchasing the old butcher's shop, we are now planning to close this gap. On the one hand, we want to create a mountain and wildlife theme park that encourages children to climb and move around, and on the other hand, we want to install a bouldering area for young people and adults in the former halls.
Bouldering is booming and children need exercise – help us bring this trend to the Sernftal!

The old butcher's shop halls are being renovated, refurbished and furnished. The following will be created:
An entrance area with self-service café,
A changing room and
The centerpieces are the bouldering area and the play area.
